Read Music on the Guitar in 7 Days

Why should you learn to read music on the guitar?

Sure, the list of great guitarists who can’t read a single note is longer than either of us thinks.

If they can be great without it, why should you learn?

The answer is that learning to read music deepens the possibilities of learning, expression, and creation.

Without it, you’re resigned either to learning by being shown, figuring out yourself, or tabs.

Don’t get me wrong, all those are great, but there’s something to be said for a medium that expresses everything; you can’t always learn by watching, because you may never see a piece played; you can’t always figure everything out, because some pieces are too complicated; and tab, though an incredible resource, has well-known limitations, especially when it comes to rhythm and timing.

But perhaps the best reason to learn to read music is for what it gives you in terms of musical immersion.

What do I mean?

Well, if you can read music, you can see, analyse, and understand all the great music of the past, both classical and a lot of jazz, and this helps you to see the connections in all music.

Being able to read a piece and get a sense for how it works or sounds before even playing has great value, and deepens and enriches your understanding of music.

It also means you can take music from the greats of the past and translate it onto the guitar.

(Something The Beatles did ALL the time)

This is both fun and rewarding: it’s a fun challenge to try to play a piano piece(for example) on guitar, choosing what notes to include, what notes to cut out.

So that’s why you should learn to read music.

Anyway, here’s the scoop:

I’ve recently released a new ebook called…

Read Music on the Guitar in 7 Days

And it reveals a simple (but very effective) approach to reading standard music notation without wasting hours or energy!

I even get you started on songwriting!

But before you read any further, understand that this book isn’t long.

So if you’re the sort of person who judges by size alone, this ebook is NOT for you.

But if you’re looking for value rather than fluff, keep reading.

To help you decide if this is the right fit for you, here’s a look at what’s inside:

  • 7 days of guided lessons to take you from beginner to creator!

  • A classical fingering rule… and why it doesn’t matter! Page. 21

  • Frets and semitones are equal. This one rule can open up the entire guitar! Pages 30-31

  • Reading open strings is easy with what I teach in Day 2!

  • How to read any rhythm with ease. Day 1

  • Play two pieces by a 19th century Spanish guitarist who was called ‘the greatest guitarist in the world.’ Pages 33 & 36

  • Read chords in musical notation. Day 3

  • Understand syncopation, beat, time… and more! Page 10

  • Why your fingers have Spanish names. Page 22

  • How to write your own piece of music! Day 7

Anyway, I could go on.

But here’s the bottom line.

Read Music on the Guitar in 7 Days is a 35-page ebook that you can get for $10 USD.

It’d cost you around $100 to have a single lesson with me (and this would need at least 4 lessons), so it’s worth it. Which is why…

There are NO refunds, and all sales are final.

I’m not interested in helping people looking for some lost ‘secret’ and aren’t willing to put in the effort to make this material theirs.

So it’s on you to take what’s in this book and make it yours.

But if you’re ready to take that step, fill out your details below and get the ebook straight away:
